Chris Coyle is having a yard sale
on Saturday, August 20 starting at 8 a.m.
Included are many of Bob and Barbara’s books, field guides, magazines, notes, pictures, nick-nacks and many other miscellaneous items.  Everything will stand alone or be in small groups priced at $1.  All proceeds will be donated to the ABNC.

Note sent from Petersham church

The First Congregational Parish, Unitarian Petersham is saddened to announce that Anne Perkins passed away today, August 11, 2016. We extend our deepest condolences to her family and many friends. Per her wishes, Anne Perkins Memorial Service will be held on her 90th birthday on Saturday, November 5th at 2 pm in the church sanctuary with Rev. John Pastor officiating. Immediately afterwards, a reception will be held in Fellowship Hall downstairs in the church.

“The Diet of Parczow required all foreign anti-Trinitarian ministers of leave Poland by October 3.”

“Matthew Radecius the Elder, a husband and father of eight, presented himself for baptism in the Socinian church in Poland, after which the Senate of Danzig charged him with Unitarian heresy.  He also lost his office as secretary to the City of Danzig.”

1858
“Caroline Julia Barlett Crane was born in Hudson WI.  She like the preaching of Oscar Clute, a Unitarian minister, and decided to become a minister herself in a time when ministry was considered an exclusively male profession.”  She was ordained in 1887 and held pulpits in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Kalamazoo, Michigan.  She died on March 24, 1935.
